学校积极响应国家教育对外开放战略，以 “双一流” 建设为引领，着力打造 “医学精英教育 + 中国文化传播” 特色留学品牌。自开展来华留学教育以来，学校已累计招收和培养各层次来华留学生623人，累计生源国数量47个，分布于亚洲、非洲、美洲、欧洲和大洋洲五个大洲。

  通过构建本、硕、博完整的国际化人才培养体系，重点面向 “一带一路” 共建国家开展医学教育。学校特别开设全英文授课的临床医学本科专业，致力于培养符合国家政治外交战略和国际化办学发展要求，具备扎实专业知识与技能、良好思想道德与职业素养、较好的汉语水平和跨文化能力的“知华、友华、爱华”国际化医学人才，为促进全球卫生健康事业发展和人文交流作出积极贡献。

Shaping the Future of Global Health: GMU's Legacy in International Medical Education

Guangzhou Medical University (GMU) is committed to building an international education model that integrates elite medical training with deep cultural immersion by aligning with the national strategy for opening up in education sector and our goals for Double First-class Initiative. GMU has enrolled and trained a total of 623 international students at different academic levels since 2010,representing 47 countries spanning five continents—Asia, Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Oceania.

We offer a full range of programs at bachelor’s , master’s and doctoral levels, with a particular emphasis on educating medical students from Belt and Road partner countries and beyond. Among these, the clinical medicine (MBBS) program taught in English is our flagship offering, which is designed to train globally competent medical professionals who posssess not only solid medical knowlege and excellent hands-on skills, but also sound professional ethics and integrity, a good command of Chinese and exceptional cross-cultural competency. Graduates of the program will gain a deeper understanding of China and contribute to friendship and mutual learning between cultures. GMU takes pride in supporting the global health community and advancing international cultural exchange through these educational initiatives.
