From Apr. 18 to Apr. 26, 2015, School of International Education Organized of GMU Inter-University Cricket Tournament in Panyu Campus. The tournament began on Apr. 18 with the inauguration ceremony. Prof. Jiachun Lu, the dean of School of International Education and teachers of International Students’ Office attended the tournaments.
There were 4 participating teams of International Students from three different Universities. They are GMU CRICKET TEAM (Guangzhou Medical University), SYSU CRICKET TEAM (Sun-Yat-Sen University), D-20 and FEARLESS STRIKERS both from Jinan University. The matches were conducted in two stages, first group's league stage then the Finals. The teams which played the finals were selected on the basis of the run rates. The two teams that proceeded into the finals' were GMU CRICKET TEAM and SYSU CRICKET TEAM. GMU CRICKET TEAM championed the Cricket Cup as they defeated the SYSU CRICKET TEAM.

4月18日至26日，由我校国际教育学院组织的广州地区三校校际板球联赛在我校番禺校区运动场火热进行。共有来自我校和中山大学、暨南大学的4支板球队参加此次联赛。
联赛开幕式于4月18日上午举行，国际教育学院院长吕嘉春教授、留学生教育管理科老师参加了开幕式。经过激烈角逐，我校留学生板球队最终在决赛中领先中山大学板球队，赢得冠军。
