Officials from theNepalMedical Council and the Ministry of Education ofNepalVisited GMU
Dr. Damodar Gajurel, the chairman of the Nepal Medical Council and the officials from the ministry of education visited GMU on the morning of September 18th, 2014. Prof. Donghai Wei (the vice president of GMU), Prof. Jiachun lv (the dean of international education), all the teachers of theSchoolofInternational Educationand the representatives of Nepalese students had a meeting with the delegation.
Vice President Donghai Wei first extended a warm welcome to the guests on behalf of GMU, then he introduced the detail information about our MBBS programme. The two sides had a friendly communication and discussion regarding the teaching and cooperation. The Nepalese student representatives also talked to the delegation about their studying in GMU. After the meeting, Nepalese delegation toured around our Panyu new campus. The delegation gave full affirmation and high praise on the educational facilities of our new campus and the distinguished features of our MBBS programme. They promised that they would strongly support our MBBS grogramme and increase the guidance of the medical license exam for our Nepalese students.
There are 29 Nepalese students in our university, eight of whom won once or s times the GMU scholarship or the Guangdong Government Outstanding International Student Scholarship.
尼泊尔医学委员会及教育部官员访问考察我校
2014年9月18日上午，尼泊尔医学委员会主席Dr. Damodar Gajurel率尼泊尔教育部高教司官员一行5人访问我校。魏东海副校长、国际教育学院吕嘉春院长、国际教育学院的全体老师及我校部分尼泊尔学生与代表团进行了座谈。
座谈会上，魏东海副校长首先代表学校向客人表示热烈欢迎，并详细介绍了我校MBBS 教学与管理的情况，双方就教学与合作事宜进行了友好的交流和探讨，尼泊尔学生也向代表团畅谈了在广医的学习生活。会后，尼泊尔代表团一行参观了我校的番禺新校区。代表团一行对我校番禺校区的办学设施以及MBBS项目重管理、重质量、重医学汉语教学、安排学生中国实习的特色给予了充分的肯定和高度的赞扬，表示将大力支持我校MBBS项目的办学并加大对我校尼泊尔毕业生参加尼泊尔执医考试的指导，为中-尼医学教育合作做出积极贡献。
目前我校共有29名尼泊尔籍留学生，其中8名学生1次或多次获得我校和广东省政府来粤留学生奖学金，成绩优异。
